After taking several months off from writing to decompress from the ugliness of our political scene, I discover that the arena is nastier than ever, with hardly a single Republican in the House ready to work even now. And for those few who are, they are outvoted by the fascist turncoats playing in the sandbox they themselves have fouled.
I first wrote about this some eight years ago on my website, yet our nation still stands stunned and numb at the pure venom of individuals. Those of us with working brains who are not trapped in apathy wonder how much longer this kind of madness can continue. In our outrage we wonder: When is enough, Enough?
We may strongly disagree with a certain type of lifestyle and even dislike a particular individual or three, simply because we’re human and entitled to our own likes and dislikes. No group of personalities ever gets along on all subjects, anyway, not unless someone in the group is a doormat. (And in some abusive relationships, you’d better not speak up; just quietly plan your way out of it at the earliest opportunity.)
But we are not Gods and don’t have the right to unlawfully take that which we cannot give, namely, Life. Only under the rarest of circumstances does God tell anyone to deliberately seek out someone to murder. Outside of those once-in-an-era exceptions, we kill only to protect ourselves or others, or under orders of our respective governments who bear the responsibility of our actions. This goes up to the level of our Commander in Chief and his Cabinet.
Otherwise, we are acting as vigilantes, and vigilante justice always has horrible repercussions. Unfortunately, our woeful Justice system can encourage vigilante behavior, but we need to give it a chance to work.
It is said we die the way we live, and with the major exception of the victims of those who are deranged in some way, this is true. People who spend hours every day in our insane freeway traffic can be expected to die in a freeway car, truck or motorcycle accident of some kind. Those who never venture onto the freeway won’t pass on in that way.
The scriptures state we will reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7). Yet it isn’t the place of any person to deliberately carry out any act of hatred upon another. The consequences of both good and bad behavior are set in motion the moment we make that first decision to act or not act. We need only wait for our respective reward or our punishment to arrive. It’s on its way unless we change direction.
As previously stated, we currently face political insanity, turmoil that can and will bring down our government if we continue to sit on the sidelines. We don’t yet know the details of how it will play out but certainly, it’s time to tell our politicians enough is enough. The God of this world and of the Universe knows the End from the Beginning but He isn’t pleased when we sit on the sidelines and do nothing. We cannot disrespect Freedom: We have to fight for its existence.
As has been said for years, if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. We do not sit on our hands waiting for Jesus to return and “fix everything.” I’m quite sure Jesus and God, the Father are looking in on us with utmost dismay. What parent lets their kids fight to the death in the living-room without stepping in? And maybe take a “survivor” to ER for treatment? I will be perfectly happy to see Their timetable moved up, so that the Savior of the World returns sooner than expected.
If we don’t crush Fascism, there will be only crumbs left for any Commies to lick up.
In the meantime, how much freedom do you think we’re going to have in concentration camps? Do you think those only exist in foreign countries? They don’t but if you really think that’s the case, then urge your Representative in Congress to stop horsing around and vote for aid to those nations anyway in their endless battles for freedom.
God uses whom and what he chooses to punish those who are breaking His laws, including the mistreatment of spouses and children. It may be an invading army, a devastating plague, or severe weather, often from man-made causes. Even then, we need to remember that the rain falls on the just and on the unjust (Matthew 5:45). We will all pay the price for wrongdoing, regardless of who brought it about or who committed the crimes.
The innocent may surely be caught in His anger but will be accepted into His kingdom. That does NOT give any extremists or wannabe dictators the carte blanche they think they have to destroy innocent women, children, the disabled, the infirm, or the elderly. Such attackers will face stern judgement before a final decision is made because all are alike unto God. He doesn’t tolerate prejudice in any form, something our nation is riddled with to a sickening extent.
When enough is enough, as it surely is now, it’s time to act, time to petition for redress of our grievances, time to reclaim our rights, time to remedy so much that is wrong in our lives and in this land. We can do so much better than let ourselves be shoved around by vitriolic tyrants and their acolytes.
